Our JOURNEY
ÆON Insurance Brokers (M) Sdn Bhd was established on 18th May 1982 as Maya Putra Consultants (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd and is licensed to undertake insurance broking business in Malaysia.
In May 1986, the company’s name was changed to Hamskor Sdn Bhd. Recognising the need to enhance professionalism and become a competitive player in the industry, the company’s name was again changed in 1993 to Insurepro Sdn Bhd.
In October 2021, Insurepro Sdn Bhd was acquired by ÆON Credit Service (M) Berhad, after the Group obtained approval to acquire the insurance and takaful broking firm.
This acquisition enabled the Group to distribute both commercial and personal insurance products, including life insurance, by leveraging the AEON Group’s retail network and ecosystem.
Effective 14th February 2023, the company received the necessary approvals to rebrand under its current name, “ÆON Insurance Brokers (M) Sdn Bhd”.

Managing Director
He is an executive leader with over 20 years of experience in business and technology, focused on the insurance industry. He brings specialized expertise in digital transformation, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration to drive sustainable success in dynamic markets.
John has consistently delivered impactful, tech-driven solutions tailored to industry needs. His ability to navigate complex landscapes and foster collaboration has enhanced organizational performance and customer satisfaction.
Appointed effective 15 April 2025, he is set to lead his company into a new phase of growth aligned with its strategic vision.

Advisory Personnel
He has been in the insurance industry for approximately 45 years of which 37 years has been with the insurance broking sector.
He has served for almost 25 years, intermittently as Management Committee member, Honorary Secretary, Deputy Chairmen and Chairman of the Malaysian Insurance and Takaful Broking Association (MITBA), until he stepped down as Chairman in September 2019.
He also headed the Education and Training as well as the Disciplinary Committee within the association. He was also on the Board of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) as well as the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute (IBFIM) and the Chairman of IBFIM’s Steering Committee assigned to enhance the Capacity Building Framework for the Takaful Industry.
